Elementary School

Welcome to the elementary school of The Potters House Christian Academy, consisting of grades 1 – 6.  We offer a traditional academic setting using the Abeka, Positive Action Curriculum, along with a rich opportunity of resources classes including Drama, Video Production, Music, Library, Computer, and PE taught by certified experienced educators. At the elementary level extra-curricular activities are limited to awards day, Christmas program, Cultural Awareness program, Black History Program, Thanksgiving Luncheon, Spring Carnival, Chapel, field trips, Book Fairs, Celebrity Readers, Movie days, Dress Down Days, and field day.

As a PHCA Lion, we will focus on developing the student academically, spiritually, culturally and physically, by creating a Christian learning environment conducive to learning.  Our Reading, Math, Science and/or Literacy enriched educational activities inside and or outside the classroom will keep the child’s mind sharp. Research shows that the classroom environment acts as a third teacher when it comes to being developmentally appropriate, engaging and rich with learning opportunities. PHCA educators are provided professional-development opportunities and teacher-incentive programs that strengthen their skills and foster innovative teaching methods and concepts that improve student instruction.
